Finally...Kindergarten! (And a little bit of Yoga)

Finally!
Monday Morning Asher woke up not feeling well...so I thought by the time school was to start
(12:00) he would be fine. But as the morning went on he felt worse and worse and pretty much slept all morning until I woke him up to check on him.
So I took his temp and it was 103! So as a result he missed the first day of Kindergarten! He was pretty sad, but wasn't to excited to go since he felt miserable.
By the evening he was starting to feel better and by Tuesday he was ready for Kindergarten!

Here he is, Tuesday morning!

Every morning the kids meet in the Library and they get a story read to them or they get to search the library for a quiet book to read. It is such a fabulous way to start out the day and Asher LOVES books so he really enjoys it.

Then when it is time for class to begin their teacher comes to the library and escorts them to class.

So far he has loved school and has been excited for the next day to come.

I have noticed that it is a little crazy in the morning this week. I don't know if it is the anticipation of school since we have the PM schedule or exactly what it is but the boys have been at each other all morning long it seems. So this morning I decided to pull out the yoga mats, and do a little self centering, and bring some peaceful feelings into our home. There is nothing more adorable then little ones doing yoga! Their little bodies in the poses actually come very natural and they have a lot of fun doing it! On the flip side it is a great way for them to experience quiet mouths so they can listen to their bodies. They listen to their breath and give thanks for having such awesome bodies that help them to run and play and stretch.

Namaste, and I'll post again soon!

Blessing, Wedding, Potty Training and Kindergarten!

These pictures are from Lily's blessing, which was on August 3rd.

I love this pic of my NEW sister-in-law Amber!

Amber and Trace were married in the Timpanogas Temple on
August 15th. It was a special day and we are so excited to have Amber in the
family. Below are just a couple of pic's from the wedding. I had to show
Lily's cute dress off. It turned out great, and of course she was adorable in it!

Cute Anne and Bensen have become such good friends. We will miss
her and the rest of her fam! They have now moved to Iowa, so
Randy (Cory's bro) can finish up his Masters and I think his Doctorate
out there as well. Good Luck we'll miss you!

And so, as I wrote in the title, we are now to the subject of Potty Training. Anyone reading
this who has gone through the potty training experience know's exactly what is going on around my house. Yes my carpets are a little dirtier then normal and Yes I am doing a lot more wash lately, but little Bens is doing pretty darn good. Life is not perfect yet and over the weekend he did go number 2 while up on Cory's shoulders, but alas he does have more success then failure...

And Kindergarten starts tomorrow for my Asher. I can't believe it and it makes me teary eye'd just thinking about it! We decided to put him into American Heritage where Grandma Nicole teaches and he is soo excited. I think he is mostly excited that Grandma is going to take him home from school and that he gets to ride in her car and talk with her everyday! We are excited for him and after all the meetings and tours of the school, we feel it is a good fit for Asher. He also has Abby (his cousin) in his class and he is excited to see her everyday as well. Abby is such a cute girl and what great friends they will become!
I love Asher so much, and I know that this new chapter will bring lots of good things into his life, and he will have the opportunity to have some awesome experiences!

I will post some 1st day pic's this week, and hopefully my eyes aren't all puffy in them.

Blessing...and Almond Milk!

This picture is one that I took on Lily's two month birthday. I decided to make a first year book for her and every month take special pictures and journal her progress along with her weight etc. It will be a great keepsake!
So it has been a little stressful at our house, as I have been trying to figure out how to prepare for a blessing lunch/dinner for 80 people! Thank you to everyone who has agree'd to bring a salad or dish for me. We are excited that Lily and Ruby (her cousin who is 1 week and 4 days younger) will be blessed on the same day in our ward. We are sad that Randy and Megan are moving away, but we will be patient and Lily and Ruby will become good friends when they move back!

I am still trying to figure out Lily's tummy problems. So far I have eliminated Diary, Wheat/Gluten, and Corn from my diet. So right now I am loving salad and chicken. A lot of salad and chicken. I was blog jumping the other day and got on Brock and Katy's blog and she had a link to a gluten-free website which has been so fun for me to read and get recipe idea's. Bensen has also had the same (minus the corn) allergies/intolerances since birth. And it is not easy feeding a 2 almost 3 year old that type of a diet. We have maintained though and we give a lot of money to Good Earth! Oh and Thank Goodness for Almond Milk!!! He goes through a carton a day of that stuff and it is actually pretty good for him. He (and now me), probably have one of the best diets around, considering everything we eat is natural and includes lots of fruits and veggies. And I have found a fix for my love of chocolate. I never thought I would be able to enjoy dark chocolate, but when there's a need for sugar you get desperate and I now like it!
Gotta run, I'll post again soon...
